Pricing questions
How credits, billing, and failed generations work on Open Sora.
What can I use credits for?
Credits are shared across the Open Sora video and image models included with your purchase and supported creative tools. The same balance works across the Generate workspace.
How many credits does a generation cost?
Video cost depends on the model, duration, resolution, generation mode, and optional audio. Image cost depends on the model, resolution, and quality. The exact cost appears on the Generate button before you submit.
What is the difference between a subscription and a one-time credit pack?
Subscriptions provide the lowest cost per credit and refill on each billing cycle. One-time packs add credits once, do not renew, and never expire.
How do monthly and yearly plans grant credits?
Monthly plans grant the listed credits for each monthly billing period. Yearly plans are billed once and grant the full annual credit amount up front, at the lowest price per credit; those credits stay valid until the end of the annual period.
Do credits expire?
Subscription credits are valid until the end of their billing period — monthly plans until the next charge, yearly plans until the end of the annual period. Credits from one-time packs never expire. The 10-credit sign-up gift expires 7 days after you register.
Can I buy a credit pack while subscribed?
Yes. One-time credits are added to the same balance and remain available without changing your subscription.
What happens when a generation fails?
When a tracked video or image generation fails before producing a usable result, its reserved credits are returned to your balance automatically.
Can I use generated content commercially?
You may use outputs for lawful personal or commercial purposes, subject to applicable law, the Open Sora terms, and the terms of the model or provider used for the generation.
